Boudewijn Plaat is otorhinolaryngologist and head and neck oncologic surgeon at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). He is principal investigator of six prospective studies evaluating the clinical value of High definition Video-endoscopy and Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) in upper aerodigestive tract lesions. He presented his work on NBI in several national and international courses and meetings. In parallel to his work as staff member ENT he is also involved in other clinical studies on head and neck cancer regarding complications after oncologic / salvage surgery, new drugable and imaging targets, lymph node detection and skin cancer of the head and neck.
