Henri Marres finished his medical studies at Radboud University in 1987. Hereafter, he started his residency Otorhinolaryngology in the same university hospital. He went to Royal Liverpool Hospital in the UK and to Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital in Amsterdam as a fellow in head and neck surgery. In 1994 he received his doctoral degree in genetic deafness. Henri Marres was appointed professor in 2006 and since 2008 he is head of the department Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Radboud University Medical Center. Nowadays, he focuses on oncological head and neck surgery, trachea surgery, soft tissue surgery in children and paraganglioma’s.
