After Guido van den Broek finished his medical studies at the Leiden University in 2002, he started working on his PhD research project in the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (Amsterdam). After this, he became a resident otorhinolaryngology at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. From 2009 until 2011 he worked as a fellow head and neck oncology and surgery in the Radboud University Medical Center, Nijmegen. In this hospital, he is currently working as a head and neck surgeon and laryngologist. Guido van den Broek also supervises several PhD candidates in the field of endoscopy. He is the initiator and director of these endoscopy courses.
